The Plot

The plot of the movie is as simple as an action movie gets. You're just waiting for all the pieces to fall in line. For Micheal Jordan's directorial debut this movie is actually very good at capturing the motion and intentsity of the fights and the characters' feeling in the moments, but in some cases they are left out. There are also some B Parts of the story that could've led the Main storyline to a better fruition, like, Amara beating her bulley and Adonis could've taught her to show them mercy by his way of dealing with Dame. Dame's time in jail could've been explored to tell us how he learned to fight in such a raw manner. Rather the story is straight forward and even though you think there would be chance for other storylines to lead the main story the movie just decides not to explore them at all. 

The Characters

Dame as a character doesn't really have much of a past except from the part of the story that leads him to fighting Adonis. His time in jail could've been explored to give his character more meaning, but they didn't. Bianca like any other female lead was supporting the male lead. Her own work, music production, wasn't given much screen time. It felt like the part of music production that was shown in the movie was just shown because of its importance in the preceeding movies.

Can you/should you watch this movie?

You CAN watch this movie. It really is a no brainer and a one time watch. If you want to watch a movie with your partner/kids it is still a good watch. It is a very nice cinematic experience when you get to the fighting shots. Although, I wouldn't ask you to specially go out and watch this movie.
